Geographically Weighted Regression Analysis of Homocide Rates in the US
Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) is an excellent analytical tool for revealing spatially varying relationships. A lab assignment for my GIS and Spatial Analysis class at UW-Madison was to compare regular regression analysis (Ordinary Least Squares) with GWR when applied to analyze a real-world dataset to explore the relationships between a set of independent variables (demographic data) and a dependent variable (homocide rates in the US).
Completed with: ArcGIS (Spatial Statistics: Global Moran's I, Ordinary Least Squares, and Geographically Weighted Regression)
